Tender, juicy homemade fish patties served with mashed or fried potatoes, vegetables, salad, and spicy chili or sour cream sauce. You can use any herbs to your taste but I prefer dill, parsley, cilantro or Italian herbs.

  1. Chop the fish fillets and soak bread in the milk.
  2. Put the egg with fish in a bowl , add the onion powder, finely chopped cilantro, soaked bread, salt and pepper and mix together.
  3. Using two tablespoons, make small cakes from the minced fish and put them on a wet cutting board. Alternatively you can make the patties with wet hands.
  4. Preheat a frying pan and add cooking oil when hot. Place the patties in the pan, pressing lightly on top and cook them on each side for 3-5 minutes.
