Chicken Piccata
Chicken Piccata are chicken breast cutlets coated in flour, fried and served with a sauce of butter, lemon juice, white wine or broth and capers. Simple ingredients, but the result are great, delicious, and tasty! Serve with pasta and a glass of white wine.
Like most Italian dishes, a few simple ingredients can be morphed into a fabulous meal!

Ingredients
- 3 chicken breasts boneless
- 2 tbsp parmesan grated
- 0.5 cup flour
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 0.5 lemon juice
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt, pepper
- 2 tbsp butter for the sauce
- 1 tbsp flour for the sauce
- 1/4 cup dry white wine for the sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth for the sauce
- 0.5 lemon juice, for the sauce
- 1/4 cup capers for the sauce
- 2 tbsp parsley for decoration
- lemon for decoration
Instructions
- Incise each chicken breast, then lightly beat with a mallet to flatten and tenderize. Sprinkle each of the fillets with lemon juice. Then roll each fillet in a mixture of flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder and grated parmesan.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a frying pan, fry the chicken on both sides for 3-4 min. on each side. Put on a plate and cover.
- In the same frying pan heat the butter for the sauce, add flour and stir, cook for 10-15 seconds, then pour the wine, broth, add the juice of half a lemon and capers and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes. After that, put the chicken, roll it in the sauce and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Put the chicken on a plate, pour the sauce on top, garnish with finely cut parsley, and garnish with the lemon.
