Ingredients
- 1 egg for the dough
- 2 tbsp sour cream for the dough
- 180 g butter cold, for the dough
- 150 g sugar for the dough
- 0.5 tsp backing powder for the dough
- a pinch of salt for the dough
- 360 g flour for the dough
- 350 ml milk for the filling
- 1 egg for the filling
- 2 tbsp corn starch for the filling
- 4 tbsp sugar for the filling
- vanilla for the filling
- 2 large apples for the filling
- sugar powder for dusting
Instructions
- Sift the flour and then add the salt and baking powder. Cut the cold butter into cubes and grind into crumbs with the flour. Next, add the egg, sugar, and the sour cream, and knead the dough. It should be soft and loose. Roll it into a ball and store in the refrigerator for 30-60 min.
- For the custard filling, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla, and starch in a medium saucepan. Pour cold milk, stir and put on medium heat. Stirring constantly, bring the cream to a boil and remove from heat. Divide the dough into two unequal parts; 1/3 and 2/3. Roll out the larger portion and transfer to a pan with a diameter of 20 cm, making the rim. If the dough is too difficult to roll out and it sticks to the cutting board, it is possible to form it immediately in the mold, pressing with your fingers.
- Clean the apples and slice. Put the apples on the crust. You can also sprinkle them with cinnamon. Pour the warm cream on top of the apples. Using the rest of the dough, roll out thinly and cut into large strips. Lay strips of the dough on top.
- Place the pie in a preheated 180 ° C oven for 40-50 minutes. Let the pie cool. When ready, you can eat warm or cold.
