Buns with raisins, Instant Pot (IP)

Did you know that yeast dough rises perfectly in an Instant Pot on “Yogurt mode”? I found this recipe a long time ago on a Russian Facebook group about IP recipes. Finally I decided to make these buns, and they are super simple and tasty! The dough is easy to make because of the use of a Kitchen Aid, and the dough rises faster because of using the IP. Then around 25 min in the oven, and voila! They are soft, nicely sweet and golden-brown, and they smell and taste delicious!
These simple buns are perfect just for dinner or a great idea for Easter and/or Thanksgiving!

Did you know that yeast dough rises perfectly in an Instant Pot on “Yogurt mode”? I found this recipe a long time ago on a Russian …

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a big bowl and knead the dough (I use a Kitchen Aid mixer). Make a ball from the dough and set it in the IP. Rise it on “Yogurt mode” for 30 min, open the lid, check the dough. If it didn’t rise enough, repeat again for another 30 min. This time I did 3 times (3x30min), but it rise so good!
  2. Take the dough, put it on a cutting board, and divide the dough into 10 balls. Put them in a pan or oven-safe dish(like I did), and grease each ball with the egg. You can sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top too. Let them rise for another 30 minutes. Put in the oven on the middle rack at 370F (188C) for around 25 min. Check with a toothpick if they are ready inside.
  3. These are perfect with butter, jam, or marmalade. For reheating the next day, microwave them for ~10 sec
