Meatballs with Cashews, Bananas and Curry

Very original idea for meatballs and it’s so delicious! If the stuffing is too wet, add a slice of dry bread. Serve with mango chutney or ‘Tkemali’- Georgian name for the cherry plum, as well as a sauce made of cherry plums. The flavor of the sauce varies between sweet and pungently tart.

  1. Peel bananas and mash with a fork. Add the curry powder to the eggs and mix well. Add the chopped nuts and banana-egg mixture, and knead together. Make the meatballs about the size of a walnut. Fry small portions in oil on all sides until golden brown and then transfer to a pan and bake for 7 minutes in preheated oven 180'C (360F) . Serve hot or cold with fruit chutney.
