Pirozhki (plural form of pirozhok, Russian: пирожок, пирожки, which means a little pirog), sometimes transliterated as piroshki (or pyrizhky from Ukrainian: пиріжки), is a generic word for individual-sized baked or fried buns stuffed with a variety of fillings.
I love when my kids ask me what can they cook for dinner, or they have some ideas of what they want to make. Today Nicole made khinkali, one of our favorite dishes from the country of Georgia; she loves them more than pelmeni, and they are more flavorful with a delicious bouillon...
Usually I buy ready dough for khachapuri, but sometimes I like to make my own. It's not hard, just takes some time, but more tastier and fluffier, of course. I have some other recipes of different khachapuri here(more…)...
I still have lots of basil in my garden, so I decided to make some pesto and use it for a simple but really tasty dish. I added mozzarella and Feta cheese on the pastry, plus parmesan in the pesto.

Two days ago I made Costco chicken bake and we love it, this time I used some Homemade sausages with bacon, mushrooms, cheese. It was so good!
