Ingredients
- 1 kg (2.2lbs) apples Gala, etc
- 6 tbsp walnuts or more
- 150 g (5.3oz) butter
- 150 g (5.3oz) sour cream
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1.5 cup flour
- 250 g (8.8oz) sour cream for the cream
- 1 egg for the cream
- 1 tbsp sugar for the cream
- vanilla for the cream
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon or to taste for the cream
- powdered sugar
Instructions
- Melt the butter and then let cool down. Once the butter has cooled down mix with the sour cream. Add the sifted flour and baking powder. Knead the dough, then roll it into a ball, cover and place in the refrigerator.
- Very thinly slice the apples and be sure to remove any seeds. Chop the walnuts and mix with apples.
- Beat the sour cream, egg, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and flour in a large bowl.
- Press the dough up the sides and all across the bottom of a springform pan. Put the sliced apples with nuts, pour all the cream and place in preheated oven for 175'C for 50minutes.
- After baking, sprinkle the pie with powdered sugar.
