Ingredients
- 3 chicken breast
- 1 shallot
- 3 cloves of garlic
- piece of ginger
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp fig jam
- crushed red pepper to taste
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- sesame seeds for garnish
- chives for garnish
- 2 tsp flour for the sauce
Instructions
- Mix the chopped shallots, garlic and ginger in a bowl. Add soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, jam, hot pepper, sesame and olive oil.
- Put the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, pour the marinade, cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours, or until chicken cooked through.
- Set aside the chicken breast on a kitchen board. Pour the sauce into a saucepan, add flour to it, stir and cook over low heat until the sauce thickens.
- Use two forks to shred the chicken into smaller pieces, put in a deep dish, and pour the thickened sauce on top. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and finely chopped green onions. Serve with rice.
