Pork Ribs in Sweet and Sour Sauce
Quick, and easy, this is a great recipe for ribs, especially if you are having a big family or waiting friends for dinner. The great part about this is how easy they are to prepare, just put in a crock pot, which gives you time to rest before the party while your guests will still think you cooked for hours. The ribs are tasty, fragrant and tender with sweet and sour sauce. Cook the ribs until the meat begins to fall apart, I cooked the ribs about 5 hours. This style of ribs are good to serve with rice.

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1.7 kg (3.7 lb) pork ribs
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
- 150 ml (0.6 cup) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can (450g) (1lb) crushed pineapple with juice
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1.5 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 2 tsp ginger powder
- salt, pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the onion into thin slices and the rack of ribs into smaller portions (2-3 ribs each). Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl for the sauce.
- Put the onions on the bottom of the slow cooker, then the ribs on top. Pour the sauce on top of everything to cover the ribs. Cover with lid, turn the heat on high temp at first and cook about 1.5-2 hours, then switch to low and cook for about 2-3 hours, until ribs are tender and the meat starts to fall apart. If they finish cooking before needed, just set the heat to warm.
