Now is the season of new carrots and golden wax beans. I usually thin out the carrots at this time when it is this size and they are tender so can be eaten raw or quickly cooked for some dishes. These carrots can be prepared with brown sugar, balsamic vinegar and various herbs. This time I cooked them with beans and oranges. It turned out to be a bright, fresh summer dish. My kids loved it!

- 8 new carrots
- 12 beans golden wax
- 1 small orange zest and juice
- olive oil
- salt, pepper
- 1-2 tsp sesame seeds
- Boil the carrots and beans in salted boiling water for 5-8 minutes, depending on the size of carrots. Fold the carrots and beans in a colander and let drip dry.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan and pour the orange juice. Next, add the beans and carrots with orange zest, salt and pepper, stir and cook for a few minutes until the juice evaporates. Continue to stir occasionally. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve immediately.
