Ingredients
- 4-6 strips of bacon
- 1 cup of corn frozen
- 1 cup whipping cream
- ~1 cup of water or little bit more
- 1/2 cup white wine dry
- ~1 tsp salt or to taste
- 1 tsp garlic
- pinch of saffron
- 250 g orzo pasta
- thyme
- a little bit of milk
Instructions
- Chop the bacon into fine pieces and fry in a pan until fully cooked. Let it rest on a plate with a paper towel.
- Whisk the whipping cream in a saucepan with water, wine, salt, garlic, saffron, and thyme. Add the orzo, fried bacon, and corn; stir.
- Cook over a small fire, covered with a lid, stirring the orzo constantly for about 25 minutes or until cooked. If there is not enough liquid at the end of cooking, you can add some milk and mix.
