  1. Chop the bacon into fine pieces and fry in a pan until fully cooked. Let it rest on a plate with a paper towel.
  2. Whisk the whipping cream in a saucepan with water, wine, salt, garlic, saffron, and thyme. Add the orzo, fried bacon, and corn; stir.
  3. Cook over a small fire, covered with a lid, stirring the orzo constantly for about 25 minutes or until cooked. If there is not enough liquid at the end of cooking, you can add some milk and mix.
