Peking Duck

Peking duck is one of the most famous of Chinese dishes. The duck is rubbed with honey and baked in a special oven, usually served with steamed pancakes (or ‘mandarin’ pancakes), spring onions, cucumber sticks and sweet bean sauce (Tianmianjiang which can be replaced by Hoisin sauce). There are many recipes for Peking duck, some are easy and some are not, which can make it intimidating to prepare.

Love my garden

I love gardening so much, it makes my world beautiful. I have a vegetable/herb garden, flower gardens, fruit trees and berries. When I am outside I feel happy, too bad we don’t have nice weather all year but when we do, we are gardening! 😉

Easy and really tasty salad-appetizer for picnic or party. You can use any flavor chips you like, we prefer the cheese or onion flavor. Decorate with the chips just before serving or they will be soggy....

Another option for Madeleine cookies, this time with lavender flowers. Usually I don't make large portions of these cookies but if you have left overs, just warm them up in a microwave the next day. Or just cook half and cover the rest of the dough and leave in the refrigerator until the next day....

Less is sometimes more with burgers and to keep it simple this burger is topped with delicious toppings like mozzarella, tomatoes, and lettuce. The basil oil adds great flavor as well.  A great tip we learned with my husband for burgers is if you make a small indentation in the middle of each burger patty. the patties won't shrink...
