The first time I tried this appetizer was at a local winery when we went with our friends for a special chef’s dinner. I immediately fell in love with it! It’s quick and easy appetizer to prepare and so delicious! Our friend Chuck brought the same appetizer to our party a few days later and after that I decided I must try to make this myself. I changed the recipe slightly by adding garlic powder and lime juice. It’s the perfect appetizer, crispy baguette with grilled soft and creamy avocado and is great with white wine, sangria, or any other light summer cocktails.

- Slice the bread and toast each slice on each side. Put on a plate and drizzle with olive oil.
- Clean the avocados and slices them. With each avocado you'll get 8 slices. Grill the avocado slices on both sides for 1-2 minutes.
- Place the avocados on top of the toast, drizzle with a little more olive oil and lime juice, salt and pepper and sprinkle with a little garlic powder.
