When we have a cold or just for those gloomy days where we have no energy, I make a tasty and healthy mix every fall/winter: blend a small peeled ginger root with a large lemon, and then mix with honey. Pour this mix into a glass jar, seal tightly and store it in the fridge. When you have a cold eat 1 tsp of this mixture along with some water or tea, and, if it just for extra energy and prevention, you can add 1-2 tsp. of this mixture directly into your tea. This mix can be prepared a little bit differently by slicing a lemon into half circles, finely mincing the peeled ginger root, pour in honey, close tightly and store in the refrigerator. Add it to your tea.
