Enoki Mushrooms Wrapped in Bacon

A tasty Japanese appetizer fused with bacon. Enoki is a small pale yellow, almost white Japanese mushrooms with very long and thin stems and tiny  caps.  Enoki are very delicate, have fresh taste, which does not interrupt the taste of other ingredients. In raw form, they are perfect in salads. Enoki mushrooms are often added to soups or fried vegetables, giving them a unique flavor.

    1. Cut off the root of enoki mushrooms, it is inedible. Wrap the enoki in small bundles with strips of bacon and fix with a toothpick. Fry it on a hot grill until the bacon becomes crispy and the mushrooms lightly browned. To finish, place on cutting board and chop off the bottom of the enoki stems and then place standing up on a plate drizzled with lemon or lime juice and a dash of garlic powder and fresh pepper.
