when life gives you bad weather and rain, make food! We made vareniki—or pierogis—, a Ukrainian dish; there are 3 different kinds: fresh, sour cherries, smoked potatoes with onions and salo (cured bacon), and also homemade cottage cheese and sour cream with fresh dill and cilantro.
