My garden, early May
We live in the north and just started to enjoy the first bulbs popping out of the dormant winter ground just awhile ago as well as the first buds on the early blooming trees (some even have tiny leaves!) Some plants have grown up already since I saved them from last year like asparagus, horseradish, sorrel and chives. Strawberries along with black and red currants are blooming too. I prune my trees in the early spring and plant most of my seeds in the ground, but its still too early to plant the seedlings because the nights are still cold here unless you can cover them at night.
Now that spring is here (FINALLY!) and the garden is ramping up, there are plenty of things to do in my garden these days which is perfectly fine for me because of this long, cold, snowy winter. I’m ready!
