Jerk chicken

I tried jerk chicken for the first time in the US and, like how I first felt with Mexican(TexMex) food, was disappointed with it. So, when I saw a very popular Jamaican restaurant here in Playa, I didn’t bother to try. But then, my friend Juan cooked some jerk chicken at our house not too long ago and it was super good—juicy, flavorful chicken with a nice, spicy kick. Of course, I later bought the same spices that he used for the future. So today I made grilled jerk chicken with spicy flavorful rice on side and chayote,

Notes: Juan’s: what I remember, he sliced slightly the skin before marinating Also I think in food processor he adds onions, bell pepper or hot pepper? Cilantro, thyme, vinegar apple, garlic, cilantro Rub the chicken and grill to marinate I added also zest and juice of lime, oil
