Tzatziki is a classical Greek yogurt and cucumber sauce. If you don’t have Greek yogurt, take 1 cup plain yogurt with no additives, strain it and mix with 200 g of sour cream. Also use small or medium cucumbers, preferably without large seeds.
This sauce is great to serve with pita bread, fresh vegetables, meat or fish.

- 300 g Greek yoghurt
- 1-2 medium cucumbers
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon juice or to taste
- salt, pepper
- a small bunch of mint
- a small bunch of dill
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Peel and grate the cucumber, then squeeze the juice and mix with yogurt. Add crushed garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper to your taste, finely chopped herbs, pour the olive oil and mix.
- Leave the sauce in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or serve immediately.
