Stuffed Prunes with Nuts and Cream

One of my childhood faves – prunes stuffed with nuts and whipping cream, so tasty! You can use juice instead of wine if making for kids (or if you just prefer). This dessert can be served on one large plate or in small cups for each of your guest. Instead of whipping cream try with sour cream mixed with sugar.

Instructions

  1. Stuff the prunes with quarters of walnuts and place them in a saucepan. Add a little sugar on top and pour the red wine so it covers the prunes. Put on a low heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Set aside and cool, then move them onto a plate.
  2. Whip the whipping cream with sugar until stiff peaks and put on the top of the prunes.
