Growing Herbs Inside Your House

In the fall I harvested from the garden a variety of herbs like basil, rosemary, bay leaves, oregano, sage, tarragon, marjoram, parsley, mint, thyme, dill, lemon verbena, cilantro, celery and chives. Some of them didn’t survive, but most grow well indoors and I use them in my dishes all the time. I even have one tomato plant!

I love having fresh basil, rosemary, mint and another herbs in the house during winter, fresh herbs are always available for dishes and makes it feel at least a little like summer. Growing herbs near a kitchen window gives you a fresh aroma and flavors to add to your dishes, plus take you back to your garden during the summer.
